Leslie Albert Murray, 85, Deadwood, passed away at Lead-Deadwood Regional Hospital on Friday, March 5, 2010.

He was born June 11, 1927 in Belle Fourche, SD. Leslie was in the navy and proudly served on the USS Shangri-La. He also worked for Homestake for a number of years before retiring. He loved to hunt and fish, but mostly he loved his family and his cat Savannah.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia, and six children: Les (Tina) Murray Jr., Harbor, OR, Terry Murray, Buckley, WA, Jenny Murray, Lead, SD, Melody (Cody) Kempf, Spanaway, WA, John Murray, Spearfish, and Mary (Manuel) Ruiz, Sheridan, WY; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister Laurine Hedrick, and several nieces and nephews from Washington.
