Timothy Earl Goben, 45, Sturgis, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

He is survived by his parents Larry (Jelita) Goben, Kansas City, MO, and Sharon (Robert) Roush, Sturgis, SD; 4 brothers: Larry Goben, Jr., Sturgis, SD, Ted Hodges, KY, Paul Gillen, Kansas City, MO, Mike Vincent, Kansas City, MO; 3 sisters: Shennan Goben, Sturgis, SD, Becky (Tim) Yates, Kansas City, MO, Trena Hodges, SC; and various nieces, nephews, and cousins in Kentucky, Indiana, South Carolina, and South Dakota; and grandmother Lucille Waggoner, KY.

Tim is preceded in death by his biological mother Dorothy Mae Branham.

He attended Meadowmere Elementary, Grandview Junior and Senior High, Community College of the Air Force, Liberty University, and Argosy University, where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.

Tim served in the Air Force from April 1984 to October 1994 as an inpatient mental health aid and administrative assistant.

Services will be held at Assembly of God Church, 1201 Cedar St., Sturgis, SD on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at 2:00pm with Pastor Danny Winter officiating. Following the service, there will be a visitation at the church. Tim’s family extends an invitation to join them in the church’s fellowship hall for a time of eating and fellowship after the service.
